Local Government and Social Care Ombudsman report
The Ombudsman says this report looks at complaints they investigate about councils’ adoption services, with findings to help make councils make genuine improvements. It is the first in a duo of reports looking at key areas of children’s care services.
Although this report is based on a low number of complaints, we do know that not everyone’s experience of adoption is always positive. As set out in our three-year strategy, adoption needs to change and is changing, and working with Regional Adoption Agencies we have a clear vision to modernise adoption to better meet the needs of children and their families.
