Working with PAC-UK
Adoption England works closely with PAC-UK who have completed a wide ranging consultation with adopted people and birth parents. PAC-UK have developed The Big Consult, the largest piece of research into birth parents and adopted people’s experiences and feelings around the adoption process, in over 20 years.
Strategy 2024-2027
The Easy Read Version of the Strategy 2024-2027 is designed to make the key elements more accessible and easier to understand for young people and others. This comprehensive plan outlines both our objectives and the methods we will use to achieve them. It serves as our blueprint for improving and modernising the adoption system in England.
Involving people with lived experience
We are delighted to present this guide for practitioners, leaders, and commissioners. It has been developed with members of the Adoption England’s Adopted Persons and Birth Parents Reference groups. Several group members who have been involved with local and national activities such as conferences, training events and webinars felt this guidance would be an opportunity to offer some suggestions and points to consider when involving people with lived experience.
