Launch of the National Picture of Adoption Support Commissioning Report
We are happy to announce the launch of the National Picture of Adoption Support Commissioning report that provides valuable insights into the current landscape of adoption support services. This report is a result of extensive work by Regional Adoption Agencies (RAAs), who conducted strategic needs assessments to better understand the evolving needs of adoptive families now and in the future.
The findings mark a significant milestone in the journey to improve adoption support across England. By understanding the challenges and opportunities within adoption support, this initiative aims to enhance the overall experience for adoptive families, delivering tailored support where it’s needed most.
Catherine Henderson, Commissioning Programme Lead at Adoption England said:
"The report is an important step toward building a robust, collaborative approach to adoption support commissioning, provide better quality and consistency of adoption support across the country. This is a significant achievement but there is a lot of work still to do and the Adoption England Commissioning Team, representing all 8 pan-regions, are excited to work with all stakeholders and partners to implement the recommendations."
