CoramBAAF has developed an assessment of adopters, a literature review. The specific focus of this report is to contribute to improvements in the adoption sector – specifically in the preparation and assessment of the suitability of prospective adopters. The primary method for this review is to undertake a national and international literature review to identify key components in the preparation and assessment process that have an evidence base when it comes to the placement, stability, security and development of children placed for adoption.
